not including ebay, or things like that.

    The first answer to your question really is the answer. People are being paid to advertise on YA by submitting so called answers which are advertisments. I believe this is to up the page ranking of these phony websites. YA does not seem to be able to stop it either which really surprises me. One of these "answers" mentions the word Nike 55 times – I would have thought that might raise suspicions a bit.
